Russ & Judy Elgar started R&J Tilt Trays more than 11 years ago with the concept of offering great service at the best possible price.
Even though Russ has taken a step back for Doug to take over he still has a keen interest in even the day to day running of things.
Judy still comes in each day and handles a lot of the acocunting side of things. In fact she is probably the one you will hear from if you don't pay your bill :)
Doug Elgar
Russ & Judy's son Doug has been with R&J for over 10 years. He started out driving the trucks and then jumped into Russ's seat about 6 years ago and has been managing the family business ever since. And doing a pretty good job.
Doug knows these DAF trucks inside and out and has driven them all at some stage, even if it is to tow the Jetski's on the weekend.
Vivian Harrap
Russ & Judy's daughter Vivian has been with R&J for over 8 years.
Vivian is the Office Manager and handles all of the bookings, pricing, quotations and general running of the business. "Doug is just here for show". is often a comment from Viv.
Ben Harrap
Ben is married to Vivian, poor buggar he has to put up with Vivian at work and at home. Bet he didn't know what he was in for when he married into the business.
He does anything he's told to do. If you want the job done, see Benny!
Ben operates the brand new drop deck extendable trailer behind one of our DAF prime movers
Gordon Auguston
Gordie or Grandpa is the oldest of our team members but definately one of the hardest workers you have ever seen. He is driving one of our DAF prime movers which tows the 48ft drop tray (another invention of Dougs) which is ideal for doing those extra long loads.
Mitchell Holland
Mitchell (or known by the other drivers as Michelle) has been with R&J for quite awhile now and has definately seen the countryside.
Anthony Bradley-Smith
Tony or "Pommie" has come from a totally different background. In fact he has been a nurse, and even a policeman. But from what I hear, he loves his new career. Especially since he just got the newest of our additions, a brand new DAF body tilt tray truck.
Andrew Fuller
Andrew, better known as "Peanut" has been with us since May 2007. Peanut drives our Hiab truck so if you need anything lifted, Peanuts your man!
Sue Hopf
Sue who has an accounting background has recently joined our office and is assisting Vivian with all the paperwork.
Sue came to R&J with Peanut (yes they are from Kingaroy) so once again we are keeping the family concept going.
Don't know how they go at home. If it's anything like Viv & Ben - you gotta feel for Peanut.
Stephen Pons
Steve, "Ponsie" or "Fred" has been with R&J on and off since the start. He helps out when we need him and has the experience
